The information below will give some ideas of how to get involved at HTCD either at St Andrew’s Community Church or at Holy Trinity in Combe Down village.  At HTCD we believe in ministry to all age groups; there are places to get connected and encouraged from newborns to seniors!

Church Family Membership is open to everyone who attends HTCD and active membership involves the following:

  • Worshipping regularly at one of our Churches
  • Praying regularly for the Church
  • Being a Member of a small group
  • Giving financially and
  • Finding an area of service in or beyond HTCD

Prayer is the heartbeat of HTCD, below are some of the prayer meetings where you can get involved

Prayer Meetings

  • 7.30-830pm Prayer Meeting in Holy Trinity Church every week on Mondays  -”No agenda, we let the Holy Spirit lead and it’s amazing”
  • 7-8am Prayer Meeting in Holy Trinity Church every week on Thursdays
  • Church Family Prayer evenings in Holy Trinity Church six times a year

“Talking to men for God is a great thing, but talking to God for men is greater still. He will never talk well and with real success to men for God who has not leaned well how to talk to God for men.” EM Bounds

Apart from the Clergy stipends, which are paid from central Church funds, everything we do & every building we use has to be funded by us as a Church Family. If you would like to find out more about how you can contribute financially, contact Judith Wade, our Finance Officer.

There are a huge number of people who commit to serving the church and its various activities week by week. Whether that’s as one of the office volunteers, members of the PCC, Kidz Church team or as part of the PA Sound and Visuals team who make our weekend services happen or through cooking for one of our mid week activities, serving on a team is one of the most important ways you can be involved in HTCD. Just browse through the various pages of this web site, and you will find opportunities to serve.

We are a lively group that participates fully in all aspects of ministry at Holy Trinity especially  ministries supporting Families  and building and encouraging Family Relationships. We run a weekly Mother and Toddler Lunch Club as well as supporting our Deanery Projects . We help distribute  3000 Student Cookery Books at University of Bath and Bath Spa Universities and run an Open Coffee Shop during Bath Christmas Market .  We have various activities to raise funds for MU projects in both UK and worldwide . We meet monthly as a group or Deanery Group offering a varied programme  on contemporary issues especially those that affect Families.  Do read more about our work on the MU
